Who Are The Knights?The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. Begun over a century ago as a men's fraternal benefit society, it has evolved into a service organization with a strong family orientation. The Knights of Columbus is present in the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico and several other countries. Its many programs and activities benefit members and their families, while aiding the Catholic Church and the community at large. These Men They Call KNIGHTSGrowing up in the late 1800's, Michael J. McGivney experienced many hardships and misfortunes forcing him to leave school at age 13 to begin working in a brass factory. Three years later, concerned for the welfare of working-class families and with with the priesthood in mind, he joined the seminary. Although his life was brief, Father McGivney's
accomplishments were many. Through his vision, inspiration and strong
belief in God, Father McGivney founded a Who would have ever known that this your boy would leave as his legacy the Knights of Columbus, the world's largest society of Catholic men with over 1.6 million members in more the 11,000 local councils.

How To JoinMembership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus. Enter contact information for your local council for new members.

Ladies AuxiliaryThe Ladies Auxiliary's main function is to SUPPORT the men and the council. They do this primarily by providing help at events, cooking for events and providing monetary help. They also generally do help with setting up and beautifying the hall for events. Insert here information about the Ladies Auxiliary in your council.
